This is the best ball on the market right now. I hit a 7 iron nearly 170 yards to 5 feet, and a drive over 260 yards.

Dennis,

You might want to check out my post that covered <a href="http://www.lifeintherough.com/2008/01/10/golf-magazine-reveals-the-best-ball-for-you/">Golf Magazine's big golf ball evaluation</a>.

Surprisingly, the Nike One Platinum underperformed in the distance category. Now, obviously you saw different results. That's not to say that the One Platinum is a bad ball. More than likely, it better matches your swing characteristics than for some other players.

I still feel like my review is valid, but scientifically, the ball was the shortest that they tested.

Either way, it's still a premium ball and will perform well for many players and if it performs well for you, that's all that matters.

I found one of these balls in pristine condition in the short rough on my home course in February (who would leave behind a findable premium ball?) Anyway, I used it on a very long par 5 the next day. 330 yd drive according to my buddy's GPS device!!!! I hit it flush and with a very slight tail wind, but still...wow! I've played that same ball for several more holes since and it spins nicely off wedges and seems very durable. The price is a little high for me (I usually play reconditioned Pro V1 balls) but I'm going to buy a couple dozen of these Nikes and see if they continue to improve my game. I'm a 9-10 handicapper.
