I'm not a huge Tiger fan but this is one book that every once and awhile I brush up on Tiger's pointers to a better short game. :)

Yeah Tiger's key is fitness. You're talking travel and 3x18 weekends and dealing w/ pressure. He's one of the few golfers who actually looks like an athlete. Sounds like a good Christmas gift buy.

Oops! Good catch. I put in the date at the time when I wrote the post. Thanks for letting me know.

Regarding the book, I'm pretty sure it's ghost written, at least in part. It says "By Tiger Woods with the Editors of Golf Digest", so I'm guessing they had input. Tiger had a couple of years at Stanford so I'm sure he can put words together, but it definitely flows well.

That said, I'm sure the same book from Harmon's or Haney's perspective would be a more valuable learning tool.

Personally I still prefer instructional books written by instructors not players. However saying that I would like to read chapters 9 and on to see how Tiger approaches the game.

It would be interesting to see a 2nd Edition. The Harmon years vs the Haney years.

I have listened to Hank Haney speak at a seminar where he admitted if he did not meet Mark O'Mera by chance that today we may never of heard of him.
