Inspiration

Stack and Tilt Golf Swing Videos by Medicus Golf

This is one of the most inspiring things I have ever seen.  It’s the story of DJ Gregory, a man born with cerebral palsy, who had the dream of walking along with the players at every single event of the PGA Tour season.  With some sponsorship help and the cooperation of the PGA Tour, he lived his dream this year.

Watching that certainly puts things in perspective for me.  DJ Gregory would not be denied his dream, and he reached out and grabbed it, through sheer determination.  It’s things like this that help me renew my own commitment to my goals.  Really, this teaches me what commitment is in the first place.  I have to question whether I even understood before now.

What an inspiration.  And hats off to the PGA Tour and its players for their part.

    Charlie Gibson on today’s ABC evening news did a segment about DJ’s walk. It was very touching and inspirational. Anything is possible when you have a “can do” attitude.

    The film also says a lot about golf and how great it is as an individual sport and challenge to oneself. No matter what one’s level of innate talent or physical build is, one can get a tremendous amount of satisfaction from golf by challenging oneself. Golf is set up beautifully to allow this. I always try to evangelize this point, but feel like I often fail to convince people of it. DJ’s walk really does this perfectly.

    Wow. That really is a motivational story. So nice of the PGA Tour and its players to make this possible for him. It just goes to show you that if you truly want something, you shouldn’t let anything hold you back.
