FiZ Golf is a complete club, ball, and grip cleaning solution. It consists of a small can of patented foaming (and fizzing, of course) solution that helps lift dirt and grass out of grooves, ball dimples, and off of club faces. The bottom of the small canister is a set of plastic bristles that you use to give the club or ball a little light scrubbing to get to the hard to reach grime.
All that is required to get your club face clean is a quick spray, a few light scrubs with the bristles, and a quick wipe with your golf towel.
FiZ Golf retails for $9.99. Click here for information from the FiZ Golf website or click here for my full review.
Is the golfer on your list also a video gamer? If so, then Tiger Woods PGA Tour ’09 is the perfect choice. With tons of cool features, it’s a blast to play and will offer countless hours of entertainment, especially for players that have to suffer through winter until the golf course thaws in spring.

Books
Does the golfer on your Christmas shopping list like to read about golf as much as I do? If so, then he or she might like some of these books.
Shopping for a golf equipment nut? If so, then The Right Sticks by Tom Wishon is a must-have. Wishon dispels some of the most pervasive myths present in the golf equipment community. Read my full review.
Are you looking for a good coffee table book? Then you might try Secrets of the Great Golf Course Architects. Perfect for any golfer that’s interested in golf course architecture, this book is filled with attractive photographs and interesting diagrams. Author Michael Patrick Shiels gives some wonderful insights into the design process of the great golf course architects. I have not formally reviewed this book yet.
For a golfer that likes to practice, the big issue is usually focusing that practice time on meaningful drills. That’s where Golf Digest’s Ultimate Drill Book comes in. In it, renowned teacher Jim McLean gives over 120 drills to help any golfer with every aspect of the game.
If your favorite golfing reader prefers a less technical look at the game, then Golf Unplugged by Jim Apfelbaum is a great choice. Golf Unplugged is a look into the musty basement of golf. In the deep, dark recesses, Apfelbaum shares treasures from the game that have likely been obscured from the light of day for years. Read my full review.
The Dream Gift
Ok, I gave you a bunch of good suggestions all below $100 and most below $50. Now it’s time to mention the dream gift. Just about every golfer would love a golf vacation to Scotland, Ireland, Florida, Arizona or any of several other prime golfing destintions.
If money is not a concern, then a buddy trip for the guys, a trip with the girlfriends for the ladies, or a couples or family golf vacation would be the most memorable golf gift you can give. It’ll cost a few bucks, but will give memories for a lifetime.
If you need to fill a foursome and The Old Course is on the itinerary, let me know.

Nice list! No excuses now.
Excellent ideas and appreciable for the time and effort spent on this.
