I would probably do it for free every so often if someone would let me. I liked doing greens, with the triplex mower, as well. We used to compete with each other for fastest time. I think I mowed all 18 plus the practice green in something like 2 hours, 15 minutes. Yeah, running weed eaters all day was a challenge, to be sure. Fortunately, the bunkers at my course were mostly situated so a deck mower could get right to the edge so there were very few that we had to trim around. For us, it was the spots around ponds and wet areas that we spent the most time on. I didn't have to do that much, but I actually kind of liked doing it. There was a certain sense of accomplishment in tasks like that, especially knowing that I would be out there with my clubs later in the day. To this day, I still miss mowing fairways. Mowing a fairway perfectly is the greatest feeling in the world. As for the worst job on the course? I'm going to have to go with weed-whacking around sand traps.
