Note: the contest has ended and a winner was chosen via drawing. You may have recently read my review of Golf List Mania! and I’m happy to say that the publisher has provided a copy for me to give away to a reader. If you were thinking of picking up a copy, then enter the contest and you might win one! Obviously, I can’t give away a copy of a book of golf lists without having you do a list of your own, so here’s how it will work: write a comment giving me a list of five things you love about golf. It doesn’t have to be a top-five, though it certainly can be. It can be people, places, courses, shots you’ve seen, tournaments you’ve attended or played in, anything at all that you love about the game. I’ll give it a couple of weeks to get some good lists going. Then, I’ll choose my top-three favorites. From those, I will randomly draw the winner. Feel free to be as creative as you like

Room Nights for the Brave Giveaway

Birdies for the Brave

You may have heard of Birdies for the Brave, a military outreach initiative proudly supported by the PGA TOUR that is dedicated to supporting the brave men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces and their families. Well, Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts is teaming up to create “Room Nights for the Brave”. Beginning with the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial on May 19th through the AT&T National ending July 3rd, for every eagle made by a PGA TOUR player, Crowne Plaza will donate a room night to Birdies for the Brave, creating a bank of hotel stays.  Rooms will be used to support injured veterans and military personnel participating in Birdies for the Brave activities at TPC Clubs, PGA TOUR and Champions Tour events as well as other unique golf related experiences. Caddyshack 30th Anniversary Contest Winners

In case you missed it, this is the announcement for the Caddyshack 30th Anniversary Blu-ray release contest. And just in case, if you’ve never seen the movie, I should mention that there are spoilers in this post (if it’s even possible to spoil a movie like this). I wasn’t sure it would happen, but all three of my favorite quotes were identified. And, they were identified by three different people. That means that we have three automatic winners and the remaining two copies will be awarded by drawing among the other three entries. Before we get down to business, let’s take a look at my favorite three quotes. I’d be lying if I said it was an easy choice. In fact, when the entries started coming in, some of the guesses were absolute classic quotes from the movie that I easily could have been swayed into picking as my favorites. Win a Copy of the Caddyshack 30th Anniversary Blu-ray Release

It’s hard to even believe it’s possible, but if you know anyone who fits the bill, it’s time to get them a copy, stat. For the rest of us, this movie is nothing short of classic. Now, Warner Brothers has finally brought Caddyshack to Blu-ray with the 30th anniversary release.  It contains not only the film, but a feature-length behind-the-scenes 30th anniversary documentary as well as a retrospective documentary filled with outtakes, interviews, and rare footage. The Big May Golf Book Giveaway: Winners
